The easiest method. Measure outside edge to outside edge to the closest 1/8 inch. Use this when your existing gasket is still in place.

Gasket Mounting Style

Snap On mounting style

Snap On

Held by a dart (arrow) that snaps into a track on the door. The most common type — no tools required.

Push In mounting style

Push In

A barbed insert presses into the door track. Common on older commercial refrigeration units.

Bolt On mounting style

Bolt On

Secured with a metal retainer plate and screws. Found on heavy-duty walk-in cooler doors.

Start by locating the data plate on your cooler or freezer. Most data plates are found on an interior side wall. The model and serial number let you call the manufacturer's parts department to request the exact gasket part number.
