Refrigeration Gasket Profiles

A gasket's profile is its shape in cross-section and the way it holds onto the door. Match yours here, then order the gasket made to your size.

Two gaskets can be the same size and still not fit the same door. The profile, the shape you see when you cut across the gasket, decides how it grips the door and how it seals against the cabinet. Once you know your profile, you can order the right gasket in any size.

Three mounting styles

Snap-on door gasket with an arrow-shaped dart base

Snap-on

An arrow-shaped dart snaps into a track on the door. The most common style, and no tools are needed.

Push-in door gasket with a barbed insert

Push-in

A barbed insert presses into the door track. Common on older commercial units.

Bolt-on door gasket with a flat base

Bolt-on

A flat base is held by a metal retainer plate and screws. Found on heavy-duty and walk-in doors.

How to identify your profile

  1. Pull back a corner of the old gasket and look at the base: a dart, a barbed insert or a flat flange.
  2. Look at the hollow bulb behind the magnet and note its shape and how many chambers it has.
  3. Compare what you see with the profiles below.
  4. Still unsure? Email a clear photo of the cut end to [email protected] and we’ll help you identify it.

Profiles we make

Choose a profile to order a gasket in that shape, made to your height and width.

Need three or four sides, or a size up to 95 inches? The custom gasket guide explains the options.

Have the part number instead?

You don’t need the profile if you have the OEM part number or the model number. Search for either and we’ll show the matching gasket.

Profile codes are reference numbers used to identify a gasket’s shape. Strivide designs and makes its own replacement gaskets.
